The Cytogenetics Core Facility of the Quebec Leukemia Cell Bank (BCLQ), supported by Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital (HMR) and the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), provides chromosome analysis services using standard cytogenetic techniques and spectral karyotyping and molecular cytogenetic analysis services using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) technique to cancer researchers affiliated to HMR, to IRIC, to the Université de Montréal and to other Quebec university research centres.
Services offered:
- Cell culture and standard karyotyping by G-banding
- FISH on interphasic nuclei and on metaphases: probe preparation, labeling, hybridization, validation and analysis
- Spectral karyotyping for analysis of mouse and human samples : chromosome preparation, hybridization and analysis
- Study of chromosome instability and analysis of complex karyotypes
