By bike

With over 500 kilometers of biking routes, Montreal stands out as a cycling city par excellence. In addition to the many bike racks installed near the various pavilions, the Université de Montréal campus is served by eight stations of the BIXI bike sharing service. The BIXI service offers over 5000 bikes distributed in over 400 stations on the island of Montreal. The concept is simple: users rent a bike from one station and bring it back to any other station. BIXI is designed for short trips and pricing is set accordingly.
