The first edition of EFFERVESCENCE was held on April 24 and 25. Driven by Montréal InVivo and organized by a group of 14 partners from the milieu, this major event in the Life Sciences and Health Technologies sector brought together more than 550 people at TOHU.

For the occasion, IRIC, IRICoR and the Oncopole orchestrated a friendly oral sparring match involving the advances and issues related to oncology research, moderated by Esther Bégin, journalist and host. Anne Marinier and Sébastien Lemieux (Principal Investigators at IRIC), Michel Rochon and Yanick Villedieu (science communicators and both former Radio-Canada journalists), René Villemure (ethicist) and Jida El Hajjar (Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation) also chimed in, resulting in some colourful exchanges!
