Many IRIC students are awarded a 2021-2022 Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé Training Award

Following the evaluation of 1391 applications for training awards, the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) offered 441 awards this year, among which IRIC is proud to count many recipients.
The FRQS master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships are prestigious nominal awards. Students are selected on the basis of the excellence of their academic record, the quality and scientific interest of their research project as well as the quality of the training location.

Master’s Scholarship Recipient

- Jean-David Larouche; Laboratory: Perreault; Expression et fonction des rétroéléments endogènes dans les cellules thymiques; $84,000 grant
- Suli-Anne Laurin; Laboratory: Bouvier; Effets de chaperonnes pharmacologiques sur la signalisation de variants du récepteur des mélanocortines de type 4 (MC4R) impliqués dans l’obésité sévère juvénile; $63,000 grant
- Kevin Leguay; Laboratory: Carréno; Le récepteur TBXA2R active les protéines ERM pour réguler la motilité des cellules de cancer du sein de type triple négatif; $7,000 grant
- Jingiing Li; Laboratory: Archambault; La réponse biologique aux défauts de reformation de l’enveloppe nucléaire après la mitose; $77,000 grant
- Nandita Noronha; Laboratory: Perreault; Étude de l’impact de l’hypométhylation sur le transcriptome et l’immunopeptidome des leucémies myéloïdes aiguës; $49,000 grant
- Chloé Tesnière; Laboratory: Meloche; Rôle de la MAP kinase atypique ERK3 dans la progression métastatique des cancers du sein; $35,000 grant
Post-doctoral’s Scholarship Recipient
- Jonathan Boucher; Laboratory: Roux; Rôle d’une isoforme d’épissage alternatif de ERBB2 dans le cancer du sein; $90,000 grant
The awarding of these fellowships is made possible by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé, which has approved $117M in awards and grants for the year 2021-2022. The total amount allocated to training awards is $22.2M.
