Pasquale Gentile: “Without science, I wouldn’t have survived my cancer.”

As part of World Cancer Day on February 4, watch the testimonial of Pasquale Gentile, a patient who received UM171 cell therapy. Discovered in 2014 by Guy Sauvageau and Anne Marinier’s teams at IRIC, the UM171 molecule enables stem cells present in umbilical cord blood to multiply. More than 100 people with blood cancer have now been treated with UM171-expanded cell therapy. Pasquale Gentile is a prime example of how IRIC research leads to concrete results.
