A Coup de Coeur for Éric Bonneil at the 2025 Rector’s Awards at the Université de Montréal

The Université de Montréal’s Rector’s Awards 2025 were presented on May 29 to highlight the remarkable contributions of staff members whose commitment and achievements exemplify the values of the University. IRIC is proud to recognize Éric Bonneil, Manager of the Proteomics Core Facility, as Coup de Coeur in the Innovation category.
With his in-depth knowledge of analytical chemistry, Éric Bonneil has made the proteomics platform a first-rate resource for the scientific community over the past 20 years, not only throughout IRIC and the University, but also internationally, with more than 230 academic research groups and numerous private laboratories having used his specialized services.
By proposing a resolutely innovative approach that integrates proteomics, genomics and bioinformatics, Éric Bonneil has strengthened the link between university research and industry. To date, his work and the development of the platform have contributed to several major advances in cancer research.
This distinction is a testament not only to his daring and exceptional creativity, but also to his unwavering commitment to pushing back the frontiers of knowledge and turning ideas into tangible benefits for our scientific community.
