Each year, the Student Recruitment Event offers to students interested in pursuing graduate studies in cancer research a unique opportunity to participate in an international recruitment event at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer of the Université de Montréal. The 2025 edition took place from June 3 to 6 and welcomed 31 participants from various universities around the world. For this edition, more than 139 interviews were scheduled between participants and researchers from the Institute attending the event. During their stay, participants were able to:

• Visit IRIC and its laboratories;
• Meet IRIC principal investigators and students through various networking activities;
• Learn more about Master’s and doctoral projects and the programs offered at the Institute;
• Participate in a day of individual interviews with senior researchers of their choice;
• Visit the Université de Montréal campus;
• Participate in an evening of activities in Montreal with IRIC students.

Following the contest, several participants will receive a recruitment offer for a master’s or doctoral project with an annual scholarship of $24,866 (master) or $27,215 (doctoral) from one or more of our researchers. Training may begin between fall 2025 and fall 2026.
