IRIC breakthrough among Québec Science’s top 10 discoveries of the year

The team led by Marc Therrien, Executive Director and Principal Investigator at IRIC, has solved a fundamental mystery in cancer biology: it has uncovered how a dysregulated protein allows cancer to proliferate in the human body.
This scientific breakthrough, published in the journal Science, is one of the 10 most remarkable scientific discoveries of 2025 selected by the jury of Québec Science magazine.
