IRIC celebrates International Day of Women and Girls in Science!

Published on February 26, 2026

On February 21, IRIC was present at the Montreal Science Centre for Women and Girls in Science Day. This event provides an opportunity to meet passionate women working in a wide range of fields, from technology to the environment, health to aerospace.

More than a dozen students from the Institute were on hand to lead science workshops on the genetics of bitterness, DNA extraction from strawberries, and observation of a model organism: Drosophila.

Many participants visited the IRIC booth to interact with our outstanding science communicators!
