More than $1 million in grant for Michel Bouvier and the startup Drave Therapeutics

Published on June 18, 2026

The team of Michel Bouvier, director of IRIC’s Molecular Pharmacology Research Unit, receives $1,08 M for a project in precision pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR). This grant is supported by the Consortium québécois sur la découverte du médicament (CQDM), through the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec, and by the co-funding partners Drave Therapeutics and the Université de Montréal.

In collaboration with IRIC’s Drug Discovery Unit, the Bouvier laboratory will identify molecules capable of modulating the activity of GPCRs in a Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis context. The identified molecules will be optimized as therapeutic candidates. The startup Drave Therapeutics will be responsible for the subsequent development of preclinical candidates.
