The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) recently awarded its 2026 Discovery Grants. This program aims to support ongoing research programs with long-term goals. Two IRIC projects have been awarded these grants.

Congratulations to our teams!

• Michel Bouvier, Director of the Molecular Pharmacology Research Unit, has secured $355,290 in funding over five years for the project “Dynamics of organelle-restricted hetero-trimeric G protein activation.”
• François Major, Director of the RNA Engineering Research Unit, has secured $195,000 in funding over five years for the project “Computational Modeling of Ribonucleic Acid Structure, Dynamics, and Function.”
