Philippe P. Roux

Scientific Director, IRIC
Principal Investigator, Cell Signalling and Proteomics Research Unit, IRIC
Professor, Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medecine, Université de Montréal

Philippe Roux is Scientific Director and a researcher at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC). He is a full professor in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at the University of Montreal. He obtained a PhD in neuroscience from McGill University in 2002, followed by postdoctoral training in cellular and molecular biology at Harvard Medical School. In 2006, he founded the Signaling and Proteomics Research Unit at IRIC. His research team is dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms by which oncogenes transform normal cells into cancer cells. This knowledge is crucial for the development of new therapeutic targets and for better understanding the molecular causes of treatment resistance, thus opening new avenues for the fight against cancer.
