Pierre Thibault holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from the Université de Montréal (1988) and began his career at the National Research Council of Canada as a researcher in protein chemistry. From 2001 to 2004, he headed the protein analysis department at Caprion Pharmaceuticals.
He then joined the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), where he headed the Proteomics Research Unit and the Center for Advanced Proteomic Analysis (CAPA). Pierre Thibault is also a full professor in the Department of Chemistry and an accredited professor in the Department of Biochemistry in the Faculty of Medicine.
