After earning a bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, Olivier Mailhot completed his studies at the University of Montreal in 2022 with a PhD in bioinformatics, under the supervision of professors Rafael Najmanovich and François Major.

He then completed his postdoctoral studies in Brian Shoichet’s laboratory at UCSF (University of California, San Francisco), where he specialized in the exploitation of on-demand molecule libraries. He joined IRIC in 2025 to head the Computational Drug Discovery Research Unit.
