The 5th edition of the Audacious fundraising event will be held on May 29th at the Parquet de la Caisse de dépôt et placements du Québec.

This year, we will pay tribute to Mr. Pierre Pomerleau, President and CEO of Pomerleau, a great philanthropist and a partner of the IRIC since ground was broken for the Marcelle-Coutu Pavilion in 2005. We will also celebrate IRIC’s 15 years by shedding the light on the work of one of our pioneers, Dr. Claude Perreault whose work has led to major discoveries in immunotherapy and a therapeutic vaccine to fight a type of leukemia.

Under the honorary co-presidency of

  • Nathalie Palladitcheff, President, Ivanhoé Cambridge
  • Jean La Couture, President and Founder, Huis Clos Itée, Chairman of the Board, Pomerleau
  • Stéphane Achard, Executive Vice-President, Commercial Banking and Insurance. National Bank of Canada

Vanquishing cancer differently

The Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) of Université de Montréal invites you to its benefit event to be held on Wednesday, May 31, on The Parquet of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.

Throughout the course of their lives, 40% of Canadian women and 45% of Canadian men will be diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to a bold business and research model and the support of CGI and Mr. Godin, and many other generous donors and partners, over ten short years, IRIC has managed to make its mark internationally through scientific advances and discoveries, which will have a significant impact on the treatment of cancer, the leading cause of death in Canada.

In this context, it is important that the Quebec business community and the leaders of today and tomorrow join together with the innovating team of IRIC’s investigators to ensure the continuity of projects with such a great social mission. On May 31, come celebrate entrepreneurship, succession and research! Come and be Audacious!
